The days leading up to the gala I couldn’t help shake this nervous anticipation I was feeling. I honestly felt a little bit of imposter syndrome because lately I’ve felt that I’m just not showing my best work and my business is not where I want it to be. So why would I deserve to win this award?
Since having my 3rd baby last year, family life has taken over and 2026 has been the slowest year yet for Copper Cactus Design. I mean, the effort you put in is the effort you get out, right? I’ve only been able to work about 15 hours a week (at best) but we’ve been able to stay afloat. With those limited hours I always strive to respond to my clients, inquiries, planners, and other requests as soon as humanly possible because I know how fast paced wedding planning is in 2026. I strive to still deliver the same attention to detail with intentional designs. And I strive to make an effort of networking with this wonderful wedding community.
Moments before leaving the house to head to the awards Gala, still feeling nervous, I picked out an affirmation note and it read: “No matter how you feel- get up, dress up, show up, and never give up.” Wow those words really hit home. It gave me the confidence I needed for the evening.
When my name was called amongst the other extremely talented and deserving stationers, I was honestly surprised but elated. Elated because it confirmed to myself that I’m where I need to be and that even a slow year won’t stop what I strive for.
With that said, changes are happening with Copper Cactus Design. This summer, anticipate something new, fresh, and exciting. I can’t wait to share with you what we’re doing behind the scenes.

Spring details for your Wednesday afternoon 🌸
Riley and Jose’s Spring wedding invitations featured an ombré letterpress design (fuchsia ➡️ lavender ➡️ dusty blue) and it’s one of my favorite details date 🤍
I have just 2 spots still available for October 2026 wedding invitations. Inquire in the bio

Val and Taylor came to me with the idea of “neutral jungle” with natural textures to highlight the beautiful surroundings instead of the typical bright colors associated with the jungle of Tulum. We dove into our design session creating their invitations with this idea and ran with it.
I love the envelope liner that features a toile de jouy vibe and then a tonal letterpress of palm trees on the pillowy handmade paper.

Throwing it back to this eclectic invitation suite from styled shoot last year. They wanted vibrant, eclectic, and lots of color- do you think we delivered? 🥳

Elegance in the desert. Laura and Chris wanted custom invitations that reflected a desert landscape in a watercolor style yet had a an elegant flair to them.
I remember how important it was to them that their invitation card had letterpress and copper foil, not gold. At their design session, we looked through my swatch books and found the perfect copper metallic. The design session was so helpful for this couple to decide on the details of their wedding invitations which now will be their family’s heirloom. 🫶🏼

Watercolor details of Italy for J + J’s wedding invitation suite. We created this venue illustration to be placed on their vellum wrap which holds the inserts all together like a nice present waiting to be unwrapped.

of a wedding stationer. All this PLUS raising 3 tiny humans? The chaos of every day, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
