Meet Lyra! This 2 year old beauty queen is searching for a loving family to call her own. Lyra adores her people and is very affectionate. She also has a playful side, and especially enjoys playing with her very own tennis ball! She has lived with other cats and dogs before, but prefers that any dogs in the home are calm and respectful of her space.

Lyra is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $75.

We haven’t posted in a while, since we are not intaking any new animals and our sweet Josephine has found her purrfect foster to adopt home, but this caramel eyed beauty named Lyra has found her way back to us after being adopted as a kitten two years ago. She is a very affectionate girl who loves to be with her people, and has lived with other cats and dogs in the past. We are still getting to know her again, but she has adjusted quickly to her foster home and will be posted for adoption soon!

Update: Now in a foster to adopt home!!!

Sweet, loving Josephine has been working hard to get her stomatitis under control and is doing so well now! She had most of her teeth removed, and is taking atopica which keeps her gum inflammation under control. She used to drool constantly and have so much inflammation and redness in her mouth, but that has gone away and she is such a happy girl now! This is a lifelong issue that will likely need ongoing maintenance, but this gentle natured girl has so much love to give to a family who doesn’t mind giving her a little extra care to keep her comfortable. She does very well with other cats and dogs (with a proper introduction, she will be nervous at first) and once she warms up looooves to cuddle with her people. She spends her free time lounging in bed and batting around toys, and does the tiniest little “mews” when its mealtime ❤️

Josephine is settled in for the night of big bangs. Remember, while fireworks and partying may be fun for you, it isn’t for most pets. Make sure your doors and windows are securely closed, and do a potty break for your dogs before it gets dark and the fireworks really set off. Have your dogs on leash for this, even in your own yard. You’d be amazed how many dogs can escape what seems to be a secure yard when they’re panicking from the explosions!

Iris, our girl with the strange claw/paw infection, had another recheck last week and is thankfully improving! She has another recheck in a month, at which point she will hopefully be cleared to get spayed and go up for adoption. For now; she has to continue wearing her cone 😔 Luckily, she has good friends to comfort her ❤️

Time for an adoption update! Sweet little Snuffleupagus is growing up into the most beautiful girl, and it’s safe to say she has made herself comfortable in her new home ❤️ We love hearing how our alumni are doing in their furever families!
