In school news, there will be no school boundary changes going into effect in the Deer Valley Unified School Board for the 2026-2027 school year. The board voted against the proposal, leaving some schools over capacity and others underutilized. And, in a surprise move, Superintendent Dr. Curtis Finch announced his intent to resign.
