Ace Interview Prep
Ace Interview Prep is career counseling for the aviation professional
Two failures in a single training event is still two failures. It’s tempting to say one because it was one training event; but a failed KV and a failed LOE are two separate failures. The airlines are so sensitive to disclosures. Better to over disclose than not.

I do advise you share any additional failed check rides since interviewing and after receiving a CJO. The airlines are all about integrity and I have not heard of a cjo being rescinded after a recent check ride failure.
If pursuing a 121 career I think you need to make your resume as simple and clear as possible. These interviewers looks at hundreds every week. Make it easy for them. Simplify. Use specific dates. I think one page is best.

Be careful about saying yes to being a check airman. They typically want an FAA certified check airman but the current application does not specify that. If in doubt email [email protected].
New SWA window opened today. Be very careful with reading full question, especially as it pertains to failed check ride questions and disclosures. A failed end of course stage check that would have resulted in a rating in a part 141 school is considered a failed check ride.
Crushing news for the Spirit employees. The TPNx job fair next week, May 6 and 7 in Dallas. $200 a day entry fee.

Just an FYI for pilots with Southwest interviews. The logbook reviewer is asking for reference information for ALL aviation related jobs, including beyond 10years. The paperwork isn’t that clear so I suggest you bring it even if not necessary.

Another tough question; where else have you applied?
I can’t lie and I can’t recommend you do either, but if yes, be prepared to give an explanation about how important this opportunity is and your long term commitment.

“Did you prep” is a popular swa question and meant to put applicants on the spot, seeing as they tell pilots not to.
Of course you did! It’s the most important interview of your life. We’re pilots! We prepare. We never walk into a check ride without knowing everything we can about what to expect.
Some applicants with Southwest Airlines are having their scheduled interviews cancelled due to “mismatched” paperwork from original application to supplemental form they completed later. Be very careful when filling these out. The good news is there is a current window they ca reapply to.
