Red Mother's Day roses look good in anything but especially in this humble enamelware pitcher in the heart of the house, Triangle Ranch kitchen. Show me your "heart of the house".

This week, I was honored to participate in the South Dakota State University ENERGIZE Conference, at Wall, SD. Each speaker was hosted by a city business. I was thrilled to be accommodated by the beautiful Hanson Inn & Cabins. They spared no effort to make a comfortable spot in their lobby for our session. What a warm group of entrepreneurs I was able to share Triangle Ranch's story with. It was what I hoped for, with all attendees sharing their dreams, business models, tips and questions. Thank you to SDSU, the city of Wall and Eric and Natalie Hanson.

Thirty years ago today, Triangle Ranch Bed & Breakfast opened for business. Who knew it would become a calling and a way of life to share the peace of the prairie? Thank you, one and all for bringing your light to Triangle Ranch. Thank you to our family for being the wind beneath our wings.

Spring, on the prairie, is finally in the air. After a dry winter, our prayers were answered. Soft rains for three days now! Great Grandma's lilacs are happily budding.

Oops! South Dakota winds are wicked. Lost this cute little sign off my Jeep on Hwy 14 between Hayes Corner and Midland, SD! If you find it, kindly call the number on the sign. $25 reward!

Good Sunday morning! Once again, Nicki and I hosted tables for our local Kadoka Nursing Home Prime Rib Dinner & Benefit Auction. Such a great cause and such a good time! I got to connect with so many friends and neighbors after the long winter. Nicki decorated her beautiful table scape with soft lilac colors and rushed off to Blunt for their grandson, Kadyn's Senior Prom. Her guests were supremely comfortable. Triangle Ranch's table was full on western, featuring Kenny's prize dancin' boots as the centerpiece. Our son, Vint, wife Amy and grandson, Austin were my guests and cleanup crew. We were privileged to host Wilbur and Erica Reid and daughters. A lovely evening.

Sometimes the afterglow is as beautiful as the sunset. Our memories warm us, long after you've said goodbye. Blessings on you all.

It always pays to advertise. While on my trip to Utah, I met this guy. Told him about beautiful and peaceful Triangle Ranch, and look who showed up on a windy day! We now have a soft spot for he and his relatives. When touring the Badlands, be sure to visit the supersized Squatch carvings at Wall, SD. Welcome all.

It surely doesn't seem like 8 years since our beautiful Cabin Under the Hill was resurrected from the ashes of the 2016 Cottonwood Prairie Fire. Some maintenance happening for your comfort and safety. New trees, reseeded lawn, newly finished floors, handsome safety rails, new exterior lighting and more! Enjoy.
