Well, we got the series win vs Toronto, but man I am not looking forward to the first two games in Milwaukee…

I’m not the little old lady that votes all Phillies down the line on the All Star Ballot and gives the undeserving some votes. Lol. Right now the only ones I’m voting for are Marsh, Harper, Schwarber. If anyone goes on a tear and convinces me they deserve a spot, I’ll vote for them, but for right now it’s just those three. I just did my first ballot tonight, but I’m sure a couple spots will change as I vote more.

I know this team is playing better since the switch to Mattingly, and I get players have off nights, but why do we have to be a team where the WHOLE TEAM is off at the same time? If we score some runs earlier and hold the lead, maybe the blown Duran save doesn’t happen. Wheels didn’t have his best stuff tonight but he still grinded it out and only let up one run. Ya have to score more than the other team to win the game, boys. Brush it off and win this series tomorrow.

Looking for a series win vs the Jays, but looking ahead to the Brewers series, I’m kind of concerned with the arms we have going. It’ll be Painter/Nola/Sanchez. Not worried about Sanchez obviously, since he is on fire and a surefire Cy Young candidate so far, but it’s the other two that worry me. I hope they pitch well, but if they don’t, we will need the bats to bail them out. I’m trying to enjoy the current series, but I can’t help but look ahead to this weekend.
