Zina struggled with weight gain on and off for most of her life. It took a toll on her health. High blood pressure, diabetes, acid reflux, and joint pain were just some of the problems that piled up.
Zina decided it was time for a change. With support from Dr. Soans and the Bariatric Program at Temple Health, she chose bariatric surgery and committed to building healthier habits.
"It changed my life," she says.

Temple Health’s Diabetes Prevention & Education Program is designed to help people understand their risk and take meaningful steps toward better health. Through personalized coaching, nutrition guidance, and activity planning, participants learn sustainable habits that can lower the chances of developing type 2 diabetes.
