Before they graduate, the STEM Scholars Class of 2026 has already achieved something remarkable: 110 college acceptances across 61 schools.

But there is more success to celebrate:
🌟 7 students stepped into leadership as Franklin Institute Ambassadors
🔬3 began their journey in our PACTS middle school program
👨‍👩‍ 3 are continuing a family legacy in STEM Scholars
💙 1 now has a younger sibling following the same path

These milestones reflect years of commitment, mentorship, and belief in what’s possible.

We’re proud of every student in this class—and excited to see what comes next.

Join us in congratulating them.

This summer, 800 young Philadelphians are becoming soccer scientists. Through The Science of Soccer, presented by Bentley Systems, and led in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia, youth ages 6–10 will explore STEM principles at Free Library locations across the city — investigating force, motion, reaction time, field conditions, and athletic design through hands-on activities that connect science to real-world problem-solving.

The curriculum is fully integrated into the Free Library's Literacy Enrichment Afterschool Program (LEAP), combining STEM learning with literacy and life-skill development.

The program's impact extends far beyond Philadelphia. Through free training and curriculum support, representatives from 75 organizations across a growing national network have already joined the effort to bring The Science of Soccer to their own communities.

When it comes to inspiring the next generation of innovators, this program proves that STEM education is a team sport.
