What is a computer Shortcut? Computer Shortcuts are all about efficiency, simply put a Shortcut is a link that points to a program on the computer. Shortcuts could also point to a website.
Creating Shortcuts is super easy to do! Follow the below directions to create shortcuts for your frequently used programs.
Step #1 Click on your start button.
Step #2 Find the program that you wish to create a shortcut for.
Step #3 Right mouse click on the title of the program, in the menu that appears select "Send to Desktop (create shortcut)"

Philly Tech Genie Computer Tip of the Day: Computers Need Air
When using a laptop never set it on a pillow. Most laptops have vents on the bottom which allow components inside to stay ventilated. When the temperature gets too hot inside components begin to fail. For Desktops, never sit it on carpet. Carpet can attract and discharge static electricity which can cause problems for components inside. If your desktop is sitting on a desk or low shelf remember to occasionally turn it around and clean the dust which has collected.
