On January 29 we held our Delaware Virtual Matching Event! It was an amazing day where families and workers got to know a little bit more about each other and youth ready for adoption.
As you can see from the picture, the event was virtual. To compensate, our Older Youth Project Manager, Gia, created an Everyone Has a Voice Video which highlighted each youth that participated. Families also had a chance to chat with each other, as well as the workers. Overall, a great way to spend a Saturday!

Why do our youth need a mentor program such as our Anchor Project?
Adulthood is hard for everyone and can be even more difficult when one may not have any guidance on how to handle some of the stronger emotions that can be experienced. One of the aspects of the Anchor Project is helping our mentees develop life skills that we hope will help them cope with strong emotions, stress, and anxiety. Our Mindfulness Series will equip them with simple tools they can use before or after a long day, like yoga or journaling, to something they can use on the spot, such as breathing exercises and body scans.
How can you help? Your donations to our wish list will help guide our mentees into adulthood, where they can take on the world confidently!
