🏮 The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is back at Franklin Square 🏮

From June 5th to August 16th, experience the magic with an all-new collection of handcrafted Chinese lantern displays that showcase the artistry and cultural heritage behind the centuries-old tradition of lantern-making. Explore glowing landscapes, magnificent illuminated sculptures, animals, flowers, and special themed lanterns inspired by the global events coming to Philly this summer.

Also come check out the Dumpling Workshop at the Lantern Festival! 🥟 Learn the history of dumplings and how to make them with Sang Kee Peking Duck House - Chinatown! Dumpling Workshops are free with Lantern Festival admission tickets.

6月5日至8月16日,欢迎前来体验全新手工制作的中国彩灯节展出,感受这项延续数百年的传统灯艺背后的艺术魅力与文化传承。现场将呈现流光溢彩的灯光景观、壮观的彩灯雕塑、动物与花卉主题灯组,以及以今年夏天即将来到费城的国际盛事为灵感打造的特别主题彩灯。

PCDC will host the 17th Annual EXPO this Saturday, June 13th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Crane Community Center, located at 1001 Vine Street in Philadelphia.

This annual event offers community resources from multiple fields such as housing, health, education, and employment. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with organizations and agencies that offer community resources and learn more about practical information and services.

This month, Crane Community Center presents Iron & Paper: Unfolding Philadelphia’s Chinatown, a five spread pop-up book by artist Colette Fu, operated by a rotating crank and table engineered by Bradley Litwin and curated by Dave Kyu.

Through paper engineering and visual storytelling, this piece of artwork presents an insider’s view of what makes Philadelphia’s Chinatown special, honoring Chinese immigrants’ resilience and creativity in the face of racism, violence, and exclusion.

On view from May 28th through June 27th, this exhibit is part of ArtPhilly’s What Now: 2026 Festival, with lead support from the William Penn Foundation, in partnership with Asian Arts Initiative and PCDC’s Crane Community Center.

🎉 PCDC celebrates the graduation of our first Chinese-speaking Business Planning Course! 🎓

This past Saturday, we hosted the graduation for our inaugural business planning course tailored specifically for Chinese immigrant entrepreneurs.

This milestone marks a powerful partnership between PCDC and The Welcoming Center, working together to launch our first-ever Chinese-speaking business planning course to deliver technical backing directly to our community.

Over an intensive 7 weeks, 9 participants juggled various challenges to successfully finalize their business plans and final pitches.

We are incredibly proud of our graduates and wish them the utmost success in their future business endeavors!
