Starting to get ideas for a cadenza for the finale of the Boccherini Cello Concerto No. 6 in D, G.479, which I am playing for a fundraiser for HIAS June 1!
1. Beginning
2. Working out a connecting passage (slightly different from the original)
3. Getting stuck figuring out where to go next!
4. Some kind of ending!
I have time, it’s almost a month away, but I have vacation so it needs to be in shape before I leave!
Trying the original phrasing legatos in long bows (as I saw Noah Bendix-Balgley do so beautifully!) of the slow movement theme of Schubert’s Piano Trio No. 1 in B♭, which I’m performing this weekend (link in comments).
