Relâche is a new music ensemble who for over thirty years has maintained an international reputation as a leader in commissioning and performing the innovative music of our time. Relâche has a unique sound - flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, viola, piano, bass and percussion, and performs works that are neither classical, nor popular, but somewhere in between - a melding of Western classical traditions with jazz, rock, electronica, world music, and more.

We’re back at (right on ) on Sunday, May 31st!

As Philadelphia gets itself ready to be a focal point of the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence, we’ll join the national celebration by revisiting some of our favorite repertoire from American composers. From Raymond Scott, to Galen Brown, to one of our founding members , it will be a wonderful celebration of truly innovative works.

Guy Klucevsek Memorial Concert: Comin’ On Home | LIVE at

We are honored beyond words to be able to take part in a musical and personal tribute to musical legend, longtime Relâche member and exceptional human being . Guy was, of course, much more than just an innovative performer who almost single-handedly brought the accordion, in his own words “out of the beer hall and into the concert hall”. He was also a prolific composer whose unique voice—informed equally by the polkas he learned as a youth and his years as a fixture in New York’s downtown new music community—had the rare ability to make audiences think and smile at the same time. 
In February, we’ll take the stage at Brooklyn’s legendary New Music venue Roulette and join with so many others in celebrating the life, legacy and of course the music of this extraordinary man.
