This June, Philadelphia FIGHT will recognize AIDS Education Month for the 32nd consecutive year, and on June 12th we will be hosting the 2026 HIV Education Summit at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. La Cumbre de Educación sobre el VIH regresa al Centro de Convenciones de Pensilvania el 12 de junio de 2026. El tema de este año es VIH y Salud Mental: La Conexión Oculta. We are sending our biggest thank you to Theatre Contra for supporting our pediatrics department at YHEP! Last month Theatre Contra collected books and toys at their events and donated them to YHEP. With their help our pediatrics office now has over 60 more books! We are so grateful to Theatre Contra for their support.

As Children's Mental Health Awareness continues Week we are shining a spotlight on our very own Pediatric Behavioral Health Consultant: Adina Freedman. Adina has been working with families in the Philadelphia area for over 10 years and brings a wealth of experience to Philadelphia FIGHT. Adina works in our pediatric clinic (YHEP) and her services are available to all current YHEP patients.

En el marco de la Semana de Concientización sobre la Salud Mental Infantil, queremos destacar a nuestra consultora de salud conductual pediátrica: Adina Freedman. Adina lleva más de 10 años trabajando con familias del área de Filadelfia y aporta una valiosa experiencia a Philadelphia FIGHT. Adina trabaja en nuestra clínica pediátrica (YHEP) y sus servicios están disponibles para todos los pacientes actuales de YHEP.

This week is Children's Mental Health Awareness Week. Many children struggle with their mental health, an estimated 1 in 5 youth have a diagnosed mental, emotional or behavioral disorder. If you have noticed changes in your child's behavior and are concerned, we encourage you to talk to your child about how they are feeling and talk to a healthcare provider about options for evaluation and treatment. If your child is in crisis and you believe they are in danger of hurting themselves or someone else, call 988.

Esta semana es la Semana de Concienciación sobre la Salud Mental Infantil. Muchos niños tienen problemas con su salud mental; se estima que 1 de cada 5 jóvenes tiene un trastorno mental, emocional o de conducta diagnosticado. Si ha notado cambios en el comportamiento de su hijo y está preocupado, le animamos a que hable con su hijo acerca de cómo se siente y consulte a un profesional de la salud sobre las opciones de evaluación y tratamiento. Si su hijo está en crisis y cree que corre el peligro de hacerse daño a sí mismo o a otra persona, llame al 988.
