Sharon McCullough is the president of Expert Events. She formed the company in 1992 following 12 years of employment at the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked in the special events offices for development and Alumni Relations. Spring is here and daily we are hearing new updates on numbers of people who can safely gather. Even though we are all experiencing "Zoom fatigue," professionally executed virtual events are here to stay and are definitely a successful way for non-profits and academic institutions to maintain contact with their donors. I was honored to be interviewed for a two-part Q&A Session regarding virtual events in the publication, Giving Tomorrow. It was a nice opportunity to reconnect with my colleague Viken Mikaelian whose work at PlannedGiving.com provides so much valuable help to fundraisers.
