After the tragic mass shooting on July 2 and 3, 2023, in the Kingsessing community, the Kingsessing Heals Community Resilience Center was established to provide a safe space for those affected by the violence to heal and find support. We aim to help survivors, families, and the community move from hurt to hope by offering mental health services, community connections, and compassionate care.

Orange represents the value of every life lost to gun violence and stands as a symbol of hope, healing, and action. As we recognize Gun Violence Awareness Day, we honor the memories of those taken too soon, support survivors and families impacted by violence, and recommit ourselves to building safer communities.
At Kingsessing Heals, we believe healing is possible, communities are resilient, and together we can create a future where every person feels safe, supported, and valued.

🍧 Today, Kingsessing Heals Community Resilience Center had the pleasure of providing FREE water ice to students at Impact Charter School and community members throughout the Kingsessing neighborhood!
Sometimes the simplest acts of kindness create the biggest smiles. As temperatures rise, we were happy to offer a cool treat while continuing to build connections, spread joy, and promote community wellness.
