With Love I Let Go
A soulful invitation to release what is 🌬️,
heal what was 💔✨,
and rebuild a life that finally feels like your own 🧘🏾♀️🌱
You deserve peace. You deserve joy.
You deserve you.
From college classmates to published authors… what a journey. 💛
There’s something incredibly special about watching the people you started with continue to walk in purpose.
It was such a joy reconnecting with my college classmate Melanie Lynn at Black Writers Weekend™️ Years ago, we were simply students chasing our dreams. Today, we’re both authors using our stories to inspire, heal, and change lives.
What makes this moment even more meaningful is that we’re also contributors in an anthology published by another one of our college classmates. To witness each of us using our gifts in different ways is a reminder that your journey may take unexpected turns, but purpose has a way of bringing it all together.
Never underestimate the seeds you plant or the relationships you build along the way. One day, they may become part of your greatest chapters.
Here’s to friendship, legacy, and the power of telling our stories authentically.
Congratulations, Melanie! I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become and the lives you’re impacting. rebuiltlegacygroup

This weekend, I had the incredible honor of serving as a speaker at Black Writers Weekend™️ , sharing the stage with talented authors, creatives, and literary leaders who are using their voices to make a difference.
As I looked out into the audience, I was reminded that With Love, I Let Go was never just about publishing a book. It was about creating conversations that help people heal, reclaim themselves, and believe that their story matters.
From writing through my own heartbreak to speaking on stages, seeing my book placed in bookstores and libraries across the country, and connecting with readers whose lives have been touched by these pages, I’m reminded that there is power in telling your truth and having the courage to be authentically yourself through your story. The story you’re afraid to share may be the very story someone else needs to hear.
Thank you to the entire Black Writers Weekend team Tamika Newhouse for the invitation and for creating a space where Black stories are celebrated, honored, and elevated. It was a privilege to contribute to the conversation and connect with so many gifted writers.
This is only the beginning.

Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of our ancestors.
Juneteenth is more than a date in history. It is a reminder of how far we’ve come, the sacrifices that were made, and the responsibility we carry to continue building a future rooted in justice, opportunity, and hope.
As a Black woman, author, and advocate, I honor those who endured, those who resisted, and those who dreamed of a freedom they might never see but believed future generations deserved.
May we never forget that our existence, our excellence, our joy, and our healing are acts of legacy.
Today, I celebrate Black history, Black culture, Black resilience, and Black freedom.
Happy Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚

Legacy isn’t built by what you leave behind. It’s built by the lives you touch while you’re here.
When I wrote With Love, I Let Go: A Journey Back to Self, I simply hoped my story would help one woman feel less alone. I never imagined it would grow into a movement of healing, restoration, and self-discovery.
Today, with more than 40 five-star reviews, I’m reminded that our greatest impact often comes from the courage to share our truth.
Every message, every review, every woman who tells me she finally chose herself, set a boundary, walked away from what was breaking her, or found her way back to her own voice…that is the legacy.
This book is more than pages and chapters. It’s proof that healing is contagious. When one woman heals, she gives others permission to heal too.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your story matters, let this be your reminder: your life can change someone else’s. Your pain can become purpose. Your healing can become hope.
And that kind of impact lasts forever.
💛 Thank you to every reader who has supported this journey. You are part of this legacy too.

Conflict doesn’t reveal who you are.
It reveals how much healing you’ve done.
For years, many of us were taught to stay silent, over-explain, people-please, or abandon our boundaries just to keep the peace.
But emotional intelligence isn’t about avoiding conflict.
It’s about responding instead of reacting.
Listening instead of attacking.
Protecting your peace without abandoning yourself.
The most emotionally intelligent woman in the room isn’t the loudest.
She’s the one who remains grounded when emotions are high.
As you move through your healing journey, remember:
✨ You don’t have to shrink to be loved.
✨ You don’t have to sacrifice your boundaries to keep others comfortable.
✨ You don’t have to lose yourself in order to keep the peace.
Keep choosing yourself.

This carousel is for every woman who has ever been told that keeping the peace means staying silent.
The truth is, emotional intelligence isn’t about avoiding conflict. It’s about navigating conflict without abandoning yourself.
Emotionally intelligent women know how to pause before reacting, communicate without attacking, stay curious instead of defensive, and choose resolution over being right.
Healing doesn’t mean you’ll never face conflict again. It means you learn how to handle it differently.
The strongest woman in the room isn’t always the loudest. She’s the one who can remain grounded when emotions are high, protect her peace, and still honor her values.
