As we approach the end of our journey this month, we’ve uploaded our final annual report. This report reflects the impact made possible by our community, partners, and supporters over this year. Thank you for being part of our story. 💙🎶

To view our full report, our website will remain active until Spring of 2026 and our social media pages will not be deleted so that the previous work done in our communities can still be viewed.

We wish everyone a happy holiday and new year!

This year has brought a lot of collaboration between our community partners, teaching artists, and music organizations. We want to thank everyone for your support which allows us to continue our mission of making music education accessible for Philadelphia students. We will unfortunately be suspending operations for Generation Music at the end of 2025 due to leadership changes in the organization. Our Instagram page will remain viewable to share the work that our community helped build. Thank you for this amazing opportunity to bring our programs to Philadelphia!

🎵Today is International Day of Charity!

We believe music education should be accessible to everyone. That’s why all our programs-from music theory classes to our Night at the Orchestra instrument petting zoo to our Mini-Masterclasses are completely FREE for students and families in Philadelphia.

Thanks to our amazing supporters and our awesome volunteers, it’s because of this we’re able to remove financial barriers to allow children the chance to discover music and their voice regardless of their financial situation.

🎵🚨Calling all musicians! 🚨🪈

We’re looking for volunteers to join our Night at the Orchestra instrument petting zoo on Saturday September 13th. We need musicians who play woodwind, string and brass instruments to share their passion with curious community members!

Don’t worry-you don’t need tons of experience! We just need friendly musicians who can explain their instrument to someone who’s never seen it before. Plus we’ll provide lunch for all our amazing volunteers 😋

Thank you to the Sun East Foundation () for awarding us a $1,000 grant for our Night at the Orchestra program! This interactive musical experience allows for curious minds to explore the different types of orchestral instruments 🎻🎶
