Recovery Done Simple

Every single week, we drop off clothing, hygiene products, and even ci******es when resources allow to people in treatment centers throughout Delaware County, Philadelphia, Montgomery County, and Bucks County.
We've been doing this consistently for months—week in and week out—thanks to the incredible support of our community. These care packages help people stay focused on what matters most: their recovery.
Yesterday, Dee went out to do outreach and immediately ran into one of our RDS family members who is currently on the other side of the battle. Despite everything he's facing, he spent the entire outreach walking with Dee, checking on people and making sure everyone was okay. That's what family does.
As they walked the neighborhood, police were posted on nearly every corner, writing tickets to people with nowhere else to go for things like obstruction and loitering. Meanwhile, the dealers were standing right there in plain sight. Apparently writing tickets is easier than doing the actual work of addressing the people profiting from the destruction of the community.
No matter what is happening around us, we will continue showing up for the people.
Right now, we're especially in need of:
• Body wash
• Deodorant
• Toothpaste & toothbrushes
• Shampoo
• New underwear
• Socks
• Other hygiene essentials
If you'd like to help someone remain in treatment and continue working toward a better life, please consider making a donation today.
Gift cards to stores that sell these supplies are also extremely helpful and allow us to quickly respond to specific needs.

Thank you to every single person who helps make this possible. We love and appreciate all of you. ❤️
Today we served over 150 people in Kensington.
As they do every single week, our family at OG pizza showed up with food and support. We were also able to serve thanks to Caring For Friends, The Zallie Community Foundation, and Villanova University. We truly couldn't do this work without all of you.
We got to see a lot of familiar faces today, including several friends who are getting healthier and stronger with every day they put between themselves and active addiction. Watching people rebuild their lives reminds us exactly why we do this.
After feeding everyone, a group of us spent another hour or so walking the neighborhood doing outreach. During that time we were able to reverse an overdose without the use of Narcan. We also spent time checking on members of our RDS family that we genuinely love and care about. It's heartbreaking sometimes when you know someone can do it, but there's nothing you can do except continue supporting them in healthy ways and hope they survive long enough to begin their own recovery journey.
After outreach, we grabbed trash bags and cleaned up the block on Somerset. For a little while, that side of Somerset looked like the cleanest block in the city. Unfortunately, the wind had other plans, so who knows how long it lasted—but for that moment, we took pride in the way the block looked and did our part.
After everything wrapped up, Dee and CJ made a trip out to Malvern to drop off care packages for people in treatment. Huge shoutout to the staff there for always being for the people and professional at the same damn time. The compassion, respect, and effort you put into helping your clients never goes unnoticed, and we're grateful to work alongside people who genuinely care.
Thank you to everyone who volunteers, donates, and believes in what we're doing. Consistency builds trust, and we'll continue showing up week after week.

We want to give a huge shoutout to a great university and a great local bar!
Thank you to Tattoo Moms on South Street for raising $300 for our ARTREACH program at their event. ARTREACH is coming quick, so if you'd like to get involved, sponsor, volunteer, or help give back to the kids in our community, please contact us!
We also have some other big news… RDS will officially be bringing our Street Art Therapy Program into a treatment center in Bucks County! This is something we plan to continue implementing in as many treatment centers as possible because we truly believe creativity, expression, and culture can help people heal.
And another huge shoutout to Villanova University for donating more than 3 Amazon bins full of clothing for our people. This helps us tremendously with providing care packages for individuals entering treatment or recovery housing who may not have much support. These donations truly make a difference and help people hold onto dignity while starting over.
Villanova University and Tattoo Mom’s… we love you!!! ❤️

Yesterday Dee and Coty helped provide meals for more than 100 people thanks to our friends at the Caring for Friends and The Zallie Community Foundation. The humidity was brutal out there, but thankfully we had no overdoses during outreach.
ARTREACH is coming up fast, so we’ll be extremely busy over the next month preparing everything for the program. If you’d like to sponsor ARTREACH, please visit recoverydonesimple.com and contact us. If you’d like to sign kids up, please hurry — we only have about 5 spots left.
We’ll also be back this weekend dropping more care packages off at treatment centers and recovery houses for people who need support while starting over.
We are also looking for volunteers on Sunday to help us sort donations and clean up our space as we get everything ready for ARTREACH and upcoming outreach. Any help goes a long way and is greatly appreciated.
If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please reach out. We’ll see everyone Saturday ❤️
