Before the barrel, before the still, there’s the soil. At Dancing Star Farm, Robert McDonald continues a family legacy of growing heirloom grains with care and intention, preserving what’s been here for generations while planting for the next.
Every bottle starts here.

Still thinking about our wine-finished Bloody Butcher releases? Now’s the time. We have limited bottles of both our Bloody Butcher Pinot Noir Cask Finished Bourbon and Bloody Butcher Amarone Cask Finished Bourbon available…and they’re on sale for up to $30 off.
Our Amarone Cask Finish is aged 6+ years and rested in Amarone wine casks from Italy, revealing layers of dry spice, plum, and holiday jam with earthy notes of corn husk…a bold expression of Pennsylvania-grown Bloody Butcher corn, rye, and barley.
The Pinot Noir Cask Finish spent over 3 years in new oak before finishing more than 3 years in a Burgundy Pinot barrel, developing notes of ripe grape skins, chocolate-covered cherries, and a touch of sweet hayseed funk.
Both single-barrel releases are distilled with heirloom Bloody Butcher corn and malted grains from ...a true reflection of agricultural heritage and patient maturation. Available on our webshop.

This week we welcomed one of our bar partners into the distillery to select their own private barrel of Kinsey Whiskey. Side by side with our team, they sampled through multiple barrels, compared notes, debated nuances, and ultimately chose the one that will become a single, one-of-a-kind expression poured exclusively at their bar.
Barrel selection is something we proudly offer to both on and off-premise partners...from restaurants crafting a signature cocktail program to retailers seeking an exclusive bottling for their shelves. Each barrel tells a slightly different story. The selection is where that story becomes yours.
Interested in choosing a barrel of your own? We’d be glad to host you - send us an email to [email protected] or contact your Millstone Spirits sales rep.

From an empty warehouse to a distillery humming at full speed. In January, this space was a blank slate. As we close out 2025, it’s the result of countless hours, problem solving, heavy lifting, and teamwork from the Millstone Spirits crew who made it happen step by step. We’re incredibly grateful to our staff for building this from the ground up...and to our loyal customers who continue to support us and believe in what we’re doing. You’re the reason the long days are worth it.
Here’s to how far we’ve come this year, and to what’s ahead. 🥃
