Finally!!!!!! We posted our faves of 2017! Let us know what you think.
The Movies that You Didn’t Know Rocked in 2017 (And Some that You Did) As 2017 comes to a close, we look back on the year when movies came back to life. Truthfully, this happened in 2016 but the effects of those releases were not felt until the past year; people began talking about movies again. Admittedly, we had a lot of catching up to do. We spent the last days of 2

Hey everyone Maxwell Camillo Di Paolo wrote a new blog for us. He worked for us as a campaign manager and will now be regularly contributing to our blog posts. This one is about finding the style of video content that works best for you! Let us know what you think!
Straight and Narrow or Bows and Arrows?: which approach to narrative works best for your video content One of the best parts about advertising is that you get to engage with people and companies developing state of the art technologies, services, and products. It’s then our job as the advertisers and campaign managers to figure out how to go about marketing whatever they are offering.

This is incredible. One of the best directors working today, and he writes the scripts day of shooting. Shoots in order (because the script isn’t done). Actors get the script at 8am. Totally nuts.
Watch: Hong Sang-soo on His Succinct Methods of Production Beyond prolific, South Korean director Hong Sang-soo has presented new films in NYFF’s Main Slate for five years in a row. And this year, he has two new movies here.

Alright so something else from my friend Vadim and Filmmaker Magazine, but I couldn’t resist on this one. There’s apparently a huge debate about whether or not the new Twin Peaks should be recognized as TV or Film and furthermore, TV critics are getting upset that film critics are categorizing it as film. While I find this notion utterly ridiculous, apparently a lot of people do not. Here’s an incredibly well written take on it. Check it out, and let us know what you think. I would love to debate about this all day!
Is Twin Peaks Season Three a Movie or a TV Show? Well… | Filmmaker Magazine I'm always up for an endless debate that paralyzes my Twitter feed into repetitive stasis for 12+ hours at a time, and accordingly braced for one last night upon seeing that Twin Peaks: The Return had landed at number two on Sight & Sound's annual year-end poll. Pedantic disputes about Category Frau...

The Sundance Lineup was just announced. Pay careful attention to the formatting here, my friend Vadim spent a lot of time putting this list together. :P
Thanks Filmmaker Magazine!
Sundance Announces Full 2018 Features Lineup | Filmmaker Magazine In years past, Sundance has unveiled its feature film lineup a few slates at a time; this year, we get all of the features scheduled to date in one fell swoop. The Gotham Awards results are in? Thoughts anyone?
I still have a lot to see this year. Good Time is probably my favorite of 2017 so far, but I have heard outrageously good things about Call Me by Your Name!
Check out this article by IndieWire
Anyone seen more than me? Feel free to comment, we'll write back. Let's get a conversation going :)

Hey everyone it's nearly Turkey Day, so get ready to eat yourself into a coma... and get ready for the movies. Okay, so Thanksgiving isn't the biggest movie day of the year, but it's a day off for everyone in the peak of awards season, meaning that if you want to, you can duck away from the superhero movies for a change.
So "what's out there? you may ask. Let's break it down for you.
On the mainstream end we have Thor Ragnarok, and The Justice League. I'll keep these details brief. They're superhero movies, and as much as people may claim that they're a whole new take on the genre, they're not. They are mind numbing entertainment, where even being disappointed is fun.
On the wide release indie circuit you have what is probably our personal favorite, Lady Bird. Greta Gerwig, normally a dazzler on the screen, is this time behind the camera for her directorial debut. This intimate coming of age story, follows a young girl graduating high school in Sacramento, California, and focuses on her relationship with her mother. It is funny, poignant and tear jerking. Not to be missed.
On the smaller arthouse side, if you can access it, you have some darker foreign dramas such as Ruben Ostlund's The Square, and Yorgos Lathimos's The Killing of a Sacred Deer, but be warned, the latter is dark.
Alright, so there's the breakdown. And don't just take our word for it.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!!
Lady Bird In Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig reveals herself to be a bold new cinematic voice with her directorial debut, excavating both the humor and pathos in the turbulent bond between a mother and her teenage daughter. Christine
