After spending the day with on the 70’s chrome , I figured I might as well pull out my 70’s chrome kit for a side-by-side. 🥁✨

New (old) arrival at the studio: an early ‘70s Slingerland kit. 24” kick, 13” and 14” rack toms, 14” and 20” floor toms. That 20” floor tom isn’t a typo — it’s a chest-rattling, room-filling piece of history, and I can’t wait to put a ribbon in front of it. Thanks Mike!

had a couple of hectic travel days Friday and yesterday. First in Marco Island, FL at for their annual membership drive, then an early departure Saturday to Cocoa Beach for a private event at . I really don’t like mixing from side of stage, and/or using an iPad, but I’ve decided to find a way to make it work for me, as you can see in the video. 😉

Just crossed another item off the studio upgrade list! Finally installed and tested the Aviom headphone monitoring system I picked up a while back. A total of 10 mix stations. Really excited to put this to work – having individual mix control for everyone during sessions is going to be a huge improvement.
