September 4 is National Food Bank Day — a day to recognize the vital role food banks play in keeping our communities nourished and connected.
For 40 years, Share Food Program has brought food, resources, and people together. We work across Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties to help ensure our neighbors have access to the food they need.
There are so many ways to be part of this work: give, volunteer, rescue food, advocate, and support your neighbors.

Pennsylvania farms are still harvesting summer favorites like tomatoes, peaches, peppers, and corn, while apples, pumpkins, and fall squash start making their way into season.

Our 4th annual Back-to-School Bash at Share's Nice Roots Farm was a hit. We shared free food, fresh produce, school supplies and backpacks with all the kids and families + a ton of scavenger hunts, herbal demos, arts & crafts, and other farm fun.
Thanks to our partners Sacred Path Collective, Read by 4th, PA Health & Wellness, and The People's Kitchen Philly for helping us kick the new school year off right.
