I had to read the email announcement 3 times for it to sink in.

Couldn’t even sleep.

Gretjen was the first supporter of 5 Shorts. Her support helped me to know that the work I was doing meant something.

I’m just sad.

I did get a chance to thank her for everything before she left us but it still doesn’t remedy the pain.

Rest well my friend.

Bring their name. Bring their memory.

Join 5 Shorts Project for Rooted in Remembrance, a tree dedication honoring Allen “Tanch” Taylor and lives lost to gun violence in Germantown.

Attendees are welcome to bring posters, memorial T-shirts, photos, buttons, or signs honoring a loved one lost to gun violence.

On this day, last year, we were filming Trigger Warning, a short film telling the story and consequences of an accidental shooting.

It’s crazy because now he’s studying Oceanography at U Miami.

Shout out to for this dope pic.

“I can’t afford a camera. That’s why I’m here.”

A $5K barrier keeps talented teens out of filmmaking. We remove it. Shout out to all the youth media programs in Philly and across the world.

🎥 Filmed by a 17-year-olds who learned cinematography last week.
