A new digital home for Cross Street Partners.

For decades, CSP has been putting its values into practice and expertise to work to make complicated projects possible, from bringing new life to neglected historic properties to advancing the vision of nonprofit and for-profit clients.

CSP trusted Cohere to translate the breadth of that work into a new website, one that feels true to the diverse, creative, and vibrant energy of their team and projects.

It was a collaborative process fitting for a company that believes its strongest asset is the strength of its relationships. We’re proud to have built this one together.

After the city-owned grocery store we worked on was named one of Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas for 2026, we felt even more passionate about sharing this project and looking for ways to bring the public-private partnership model to more cities across the country.

Azalea Fresh Market | Atlanta Grocery is already on track to open its second location. An idea that was initially met with skepticism has become a model for addressing food deserts in a way that’s sustainable, replicable, and rooted in the needs of the neighborhood. The city made the project possible, a local operator runs it day to day, and together they created something built to last.

Our 15 years of experience working on adaptive reuse projects brought us to this moment. The building that became Azalea was an existing historic landmark in downtown Atlanta, and we worked alongside the Mayor’s Office of Atlanta, Invest Atlanta, Savi Provisions, and neighborhood residents to bring it back to life as a grocery store.

Before we got to work, we asked the community what they wanted to see. One of the biggest requests wasn’t just for a grocery store, but for a place to grab quick, affordable, healthy food. That conversation led to a flexible second floor with plenty of seating, a local coffee shop, and a grab-and-go counter for prepared meals.

There were plenty of creative challenges along the way, and we’re excited to keep bringing this model to more places.

Everyone is talking about Zohran’s proposal for a city-owned grocery store in NYC right now. Some people think it’s radical. When we helped pitch this same model in Atlanta, people said the same thing.

Azalea Fresh Market | Atlanta Grocery just made Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas list, 191 projects recognized for making the world more accessible, equitable, and sustainable. They are already opening a second location, which proves this out of the box idea really works!

Cohere led the strategy, interior design, and brand design. Another amazing layer to this story is the building itself. Azalea sits inside the Olympia Building in Atlanta’s Five Points, a former Walgreens, and the same landmark where Coca-Cola’s formula was first developed. Adaptive reuse has been at the center of our work for over a decade and this project is a perfect example of why. You do not always need to build something new. Sometimes the building is already there, it just needs the right team to revitalize it and to go out to the neighborhood it inhabits and ask how it can be of service.

Downtown Atlanta went without a grocery store for decades. A neighborhood full of office workers, university students, and residents with no real access to fresh food. Access to fresh, locally grown food in food deserts is a wellness issue and it rarely gets treated like one. We are thrilled to have been recognized and that we get a platform to tell this story and help recreate this model across the country.
