Awesome trip to Heritage with - He won the Junior Heritage here in his heyday. So, to be able to spend a day together recounting greatness was truly what it’s all about!

First snow in the new place. Sad to miss it but it’s winter in Florida, here, too.

Have been pretty quiet about my sentiments on her retirement. But, that’s just it - I have so many. We wouldn’t be here without you pioneering our sport at this level. I wouldn’t be here coaching if it weren’t for being recruited by you and riding for you and the Gamecocks. The past 7 years coaching alongside each other has been transformative for the both of us. I cherish memories as an athlete, a coworker, and a friend. You are quite the legend with many more tales ahead. Congratulations on your retirement, Coach! 💙🥹

Vacation vibe 2023

What is life

I was a bit overwhelmed by the winding drive through Old Mount Pleasant that brought us to the best fish market I’ve ever been to. This was but a dream. We parked, took in the breezes of the low country and went to the counter. A long list of fishes but a fishmonger, Mark, to guide us.

“What’s good to have?” I asked.
“Well, how are you going to cook it?” He returned.
“On the grill. So, maybe some swordfish?”
“Absolutely. How many you cooking for?”
“Just us two”.

Then, Mark took out this slab of of swordfish caught that morning and sidled it over to his counter. Off came this beautiful swordfish steak while three pelicans waited patiently for the trimmings.
