Elijah Anderson, the Sterling Professor of Sociology and African American Studies at Yale University, will give a talk today at 5:30 on white backlash in the United States. This event is part of the Philomathean Speaker Series "Insights into Human Behavior." It is co-sponsored by the Department of History, the Department of Sociology, New Student Orientation & Academic Initiatives, SAC, and the Center for the Study of Ethnicity, Race, and Immigration.

Presented by the Department of Architecture, Housing Justice Futures: Philadelphia Forum on Design, Race and Climate Change will bring scholars and activists from across the US to Weitzman next month to examine the past inequities that have led to nearly one in four residents living in poverty, and 4,400 households without a place to live – and offer strategies for future change.
