The Gamma Chapter of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc.
In the Fall of 1989, four Latinas at the University of Pennsylvania decided that there was a need for an organization that would not only contribute to the advancement of the Penn Latino community but also create a voice and a sisterhood for Latinas on campus. One year ago today, our beloved Upsilon line made history. The first two nursing students crossed into Gamma and all together our chapter increased to its biggest size since the 90s. Upsilon, words can’t describe the impact you’ve had on this campus, our Chapter, and SLU as a whole. The seven of you derive power from your uniqueness, vulnerability, and pride.
