Blast off into learning fun! π Our classroom transformed into an outer space adventure, with stars βοΈand planets πͺ hanging from the ceiling and an astronaut π§βπ landing on the moon π. Throughout the month, we explored our amazing planet from the inside out, starting deep within the Earthβs core π, moving through the hot, squishy mantle, and up to the crust where we live. We learned about rocks πͺ¨, minerals, and even meteorites from space, and discovered how powerful natural events like volcanoes π and earthquakes shape our world. We explored different landforms including mountains β°οΈ, deserts ποΈ , forests π³, jungles, beaches π, and caves, and learned that water covers much of our Earth, making it the βblue planet.β π We also talked about how land is home to people, animals, and many habitats. In our classroom, we added a volcano model π and recycle boxes to help children understand how the Earth works and how we can take care of it. As we celebrated Earth Day, we practiced ways to protect our planet by learning to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost, helping children understand that even small actions can make a big difference! πβ¨ Preschoolers also learned the letters E and Q, and practiced counting numbers 15 and 16.

What a splashy adventure into our pond life theme! This month, preschoolers explored the wonderful world of pond habitats, learning about plants like cattails, lily pads, and water lilies, and discovering animals such as frogs πΈ, ducks π¦, swans π¦’, dragonflies, snails π, worms πͺ±, and even tiny water shrews. We talked about the frog life cycle π, from eggs to tadpoles to froglets, and how each creature helps keep the pond healthy and balanced. Our classroom was transformed into a beautiful pond design, featuring an artificial pond surrounded by cattails and plants π±, a bridge made by preschoolers, and lily pads floating with hanging bugs π in and around the water. Colorful insects π and pond creatures πππͺ²π¦ were displayed all over the room, bringing the theme to life. Along the way, preschoolers also reviewed the letters F, and D, and practiced counting with numbers 13 and 14, making learning fun, and full of discovery!

Come and swim with us in the pondπ! This month our theme was βLife in the Pondπ§.β The color of the month was pink πΈand our shape of the month was an oval . Our young toddlers were able to learn about the animalsππΈπ, plantsπ±, and the many other things that exist in a pond. We explored the life cycle of a frog πΈ , watching how it grows and changes over time. We flew around the center like dragonflies π¦, using our imaginations and building our gross motor skills. Our group also experimented with pond toys, discovering which objects would float or sink and beginning to understand simple science concepts π©βπ¬π¬. We read stories about pond life, sang songs about frogs πΈ and turtles π’ , and even practiced making our own βribbitβ sounds together! We also created fun art projects, using pink paint to make oval shaped lily pads/water lilies and decorating them with our own little pond creatures. It has been a fun filled month of learning, exploring, and growing together!
