Flower challenge, day 5. Today’s flower is brought to you by some Stampin’ Up! punches and patterned paper! I love this color combination.

Flower challenge, days 3 and 4. I went with drawing by hand for these two. Day 3 is ink and watercolors, day 4 is straight ink and marker.

Flower challenge, day 2

For this one, I used a decorative mask from Stampin’ Up! I used my blending brush to “paint” the ink onto the stencil and it turned out beautifully!

One of my besties and I are doing an arty challenge for July! She is a fab artist who needs to do more of what she loves. So, every day we have to create a flower. It can be drawn, painted, stamped, or any combination of these.

I did a combination of ink blending and stamping for this one (oh and I drew one little line), and I love how it turned out!

I said goodbye to my long hair today. It’s been a while since I’ve had a short cut but I’m loving how light this new style feels, especially with the hotter weather coming!

Months 1 and 2 completed for my 12-part Venus Explosion block of the month kit from Missouri Star Quilting Co. I have owned these kits for several years and I am excited to finally be putting them together. This is going to be a gorgeous quilt top when all the blocks are completed.
