"My identity isn't the cause of my Mental Health Struggles"
We’re honored to have Spenser Norman join this conversation, offering perspective on how housing, environment, and student support systems directly shape mental health and stability.
Together, we explore:
• How placement and living environments impact a student’s sense of safety and well-being
• What a truly supportive space looks like for those navigating recovery or identity exploration
• Where institutional systems—like housing and residential life—can unintentionally create barriers to belonging
At Wisteria, we believe environment is a critical part of care—and should always support, not compromise, identity.

Breannah asks Eric, Why is it so important to have well-informed, LGBTQ+ specific treatment in recovery spaces?
Listen along to hear why affirming, informed care plays such a critical role in creating safety, building trust, and supporting real recovery for LGBTQ+ individuals.
We’re honored to have Eric Dorsa join this conversation, bringing insight into internalized homophobia and the lived realities of recovery.
Together, we’ll explore:
• What it means to feel supported—or unseen—in clinical spaces
• How expressive identity can be affirmed, not misunderstood
• What is often missed when supporting LGBTQ+ individuals navigating eating disorder and substance use recovery
At Wisteria, we believe care should never come at the expense of identity.

At Wisteria, you never have to navigate your journey alone. 💛
Last night was incredible exploring honest conversations about identity, connection, and the ways internalized homophobia can impact how we show up for ourselves and each other. 🌈
Thank you to Arrive Therapy, Villanova University, and our co-sponsor Charlie Health for creating a space where real dialogue could happen — from the powerful panel discussion to the conversations that continued long after the program ended.
A huge thank you to all of the panelists for your vulnerability, honesty, and willingness to share your experiences with the room. 👏
We’re excited to continue the conversation — one-on-one Q&A features with each of the panelists are coming soon.✨

Join us tonight at Villanova University for this important discussion on internalized homophobia
What actually happens when gay and bi men get real with each other?
We're about to find out. 👬
The Enemy Within isn't a lecture. It isn't a support group. It isn't a mixer.
It's a moderated panel conversation with diverse GBTQ+ voices — followed by open dialogue where your questions shape the room. Then we keep the conversation going at the after-party with drinks and snacks, because the best moments always happen after the formal part ends.
We're exploring how internalized homophobia affects our connection, our loneliness, our dating lives, and our relationships with each other.
Have a question you've never had the right room to ask? ✉️ Submit it when you RSVP.

This THURSDAY:
The opposite of loneliness isn't hookups. It's being known. When's the last time you let yourself be connected?
Not performing. Not presenting. Not swiping. Just letting someone actually see you.
If you're struggling to remember, you're not alone — and that might be worth exploring. The Enemy Within is a free GBTQ panel event creating honest space for gay, bi, trans, and q***r men to examine what's keeping us isolated.
