First one to the sit is the red girl. And somehow I still have her available! Who needs a new years puppy?

As I’ve said before, my job with these babies is to set them up to be the very best they can be before they head off to their new families. Today’s lesson? Impulse control. In this video, you’ll notice I’m not giving cues or commands to the babies. Just letting them think and choose their own adventure. If they offer a sit on their own—and hold it—they earn rewards. If they jump, they get to watch their siblings win the goodies instead. A few of these kiddos are really starting to understand the game… and a couple of them? Well, we’ve got 8 days left together, and we’ll keep practicing. 😉 The goal isn’t just “sit.” It’s learning to control impulses—skills that roll right into polite greetings, engaging with their people, disengaging with things that we don’t want them to have, and learning to wait their turn in daily life. We have two Labrador puppies available—and they couldn’t be more opposite. Truly something for everyone 🤍🐾

🎅 Santa Snuggler (white collar) — tiny, soft, and incredibly gentle. A calm, sweet snuggle puppy who’s happiest curled up close and soaking in all the love.

🎀 Christmas List (red collar)— equally sweet, just a bit more lively. She enjoys play, loves ball and tug, and is very people-focused without being over the top. We think she’d really enjoy having a job one day—maybe dog sports like her mama—but she also settles nicely and is just a happy, engaging puppy to live with.

Both girls are beautiful, bright, and well-rounded, and will be ready for their forever homes in January.

While you can’t put a real puppy under the tree this year, you can bring one home a couple weeks later—when the house is quiet again, the decorations are packed away, and you could use a little extra joy to get you outside and smiling through winter.

The Rex x Cera Litter — Bringing Basic Back

Big news — my very first litter is on the way! This has been a while in the making, and I’m nervous but excited to finally share it.

And yes… they’re standard colored Labrador Retrievers. Nothing flashy, nothing “designer.” Just solid, steady, good-hearted dogs — the kind I think the world truly needs more of.

In my work, I see so many families who want a “fancy” dog but really need a great one: a dog who can hike on Saturday, brunch on Sunday, hang at happy hour, or just chill on the couch when you are. A dog who can be a therapy partner, an agility competitor, or a loyal sidekick — but who also knows how to turn it off and just be.

That’s what I’m striving for with this litter — dogs who fit seamlessly into real life. Dogs you’re proud to bring anywhere, who grow with your family, and who make you smile every single day.

The Rex x Cera pairing was chosen with care: combining Rex’s sweetness and classic head with Cera’s brains and work ethic. Both are proven, healthy, and sound examples of the breed.
