Pride month started as a riot against police brutality at a small dive bar in New York City called the Stonewall Inn. At the time there existed outdated “masquerade” or “cross-dressing” laws that suggested a “man” or a “woman” must be wearing a certain number of clothing items that matched the gender on their state-issued ID.

Thank you to our friends and neighbors who were concerned about the branch last night due to a Citizen App alert. Staff checked out the building this morning and found no issues and no evidence of any issues.
We are open today 10 am until 7 pm with those two hours from 5 pm - 7 pm as a cooling center due to the extreme heat.
Thank you!
(Mim promises she didn’t throw a party last night.)

ULTIMATE QUEST
One of the Creator quests is “make a craft at your library.” Merlin participated in Crafternoons today and helped make a perler bead drink cover!
(Merlin is unimpressed with Ms. Allegra’s ironing skills. )

To being the best I can be
Thank you for helping me!
(Merlin has no idea what a graduation is and wonders if it involves food!)

ULTIMATE QUEST
Two of The Reader’s Quests are to read for an hour or to re-read a book you loved when you were younger. Merlin says that reading in our courtyard is a wonderful way to complete this quest!
(Seraphina is a favorite of Ms. Allegra!)
Foxchase Finals: Tournament Recap
The Foxchase Finals delivered an intense, action-packed tournament filled with dramatic twists and turns from start to finish.
Championship Highlights
The definitive highlight of the event was the highly anticipated championship match: Joe vs. defending champion Judah. Both games were incredibly close, but Joe ultimately edged out the victory to claim the title.
However, the drama didn't stop there. Immediately following his win, Joe was challenged by our reigning King of the Hill champion, Aden. Channeling the same relentless competitive spirit that Judah had shown before him, Joe accepted the challenge.
As the battle commenced, Joe maintained his championship momentum. But down to his final stock, Aden completely locked in—proving that as long as you have a stock, you have a chance. In a stunning comeback, Aden emerged victorious to become our new champion, making history as the first-ever player to be engraved on the Foxchase Finals trophy.
King of the Hill & What's Next
Following the main event, the rest of the roster battled it out for the vacant King of the Hill title, with newcomer Ethan capturing the win.
With the dust finally settled, all eyes now look ahead to two upcoming title defenses. Congratulations to our new champions!
