North Philly gardeners displaced by PHA will find out The neighbors who banded together four years ago to build the North Philly Peace Park — an Eden of edible plants free for the picking, crowned with a one-room “Earthship” schoolhouse made with tires, glass bottles, and the sweat of several hundred volunteers — did not ask for...

We're very excited to continue our work with the North Philly Peace Park as we prepare to build their new school structure this spring. Please help us be able to give them the best space possible by donating! All proceeds will go towards contractor fees, building materials and furniture.

Hey Friends,
We're having our first meeting of the year in the basement in B7 tonight at 6:30! Come on by! We've got some big ideas cooking up for the new year.

A few of us are getting together in front of meyerson around 7:30 to make a memorial for victims of police brutality if folks (particularly Black students) wanna come by for a hug, cry, yell, laugh, be around people.

Announcing our 2016-2017 co-presidents!

Libby Bland is joining us for her first term! She is an Architecture&City Planning dual degree student from Virginia Beach, VA. Currently Libby is interning at Community Futures Lab in the Sharswood neighborhood obtaining oral histories from the former Blumberg Towers and eminent domain. With a background in costuming and interest in african american vernacular architecture particularly in the South, Libby is interested in developing a means to have community controlled design.

Kat Engleman is returning for a second term and is a dual degree Architecture&Landscape Architecture student from Baltimore, MD. She is currently interning at Youth United for Change in Kensington, an educational justice non-profit demanding community control for black&brown working class people. Kat has background in design and community organizing and is interested in creating spaces that disrupt systems of oppression in our communities that then allow for self-determination to take place.
