A leadership team signs off on a layout. The project feels like it is moving, and energy lifts.
A few weeks later, deeper technical questions return to the surface and the sequence starts bending around them: extra coordination appears, confidence drops and time starts slipping.
That pattern is more common than it should be. ⏳
If your lease expires within the next two years, the planning window is already open, and the decisions sitting beneath the surface matter just as much as the visible ones. We’ve put together a short carousel to spotlight a few of those critical considerations.

A portfolio tells one story. A highlight reel tells another.
This video offers a fast-moving view of what forty years of Formcraft design build experience looks like across the United States today. It captures some of our more recent work and the range, consistency, and quality that sit behind it.

A legal workplace can be highly structured and still feel deeply connected.
That’s what made our collaboration with Kennedys such a compelling project. We used neighborhood-style planning to create comfort, clarity, and ease inside an agile law firm environment.
The plan prioritizes intuitive wayfinding and equitable access, with private offices moved inward to free natural light and views for shared open workspace areas. Movement, transparency, and collaboration are supported in a way that feels considered from every angle.

A workplace can hold far more ambiguity than people think.
On paper, the footprint may look sufficient. In reality, focus areas may be carrying too much strain, shared settings may be underused and the patterns shaping the employee experience may still be largely unmeasured. Those gaps become more important when a lease timeline starts narrowing the room for error.
If your lease expires within the next 24 months, this is a question worth asking now: do you really understand how your workspace is being used day to day?
Browse the slides and use them as a prompt for a more honest conversation inside your leadership team.

A recent inspiration walk with a client gave us the chance to step into a space that got a lot right.
What stood out immediately was the openness, the exposed ceilings, and the amount of natural light moving through the space. The overall effect felt clean, calm and full of possibility.
These visits are incredibly useful because they help clients articulate what they’re drawn to and why. They turn instinct into language and help shape the direction of the journey ahead

A lot of workplace stress has a sound. 🔉
It’s the constant hum that never stops. The brain keeps listening, even when the work demands focus.
The impact is measurable: research shows over 76% of workers report that poor noise control disrupts their day.
Behavioral science points to perceived control. When people can choose quieter settings and manage their own exposure, satisfaction rises. Intentional design makes that possible through zoning, sound-absorbing materials and true retreat areas.

The open café often becomes the cultural center of a workplace. ☕️
For Entech in Malvern, Pennsylvania, Formcraft designed and built an office to support growth and strengthen company culture, with an open café designed for real gathering.
The café includes a long island with stools that seats up to twelve people, creating an easy place for teams to connect, reset, and share ideas. Transparency is reinforced throughout the office with full height glass partitions at room fronts, keeping sightlines open and light moving through the space.
