Tesla coil project; replaced the crank handle with a speed-controlled drill and created a tool to keep the wire aligned and tight.
Using this 15kV,60mA neon sign transformer (set up as a Jacob’s ladder in this video) as the primary coils power source for the Tesla coil.

This is a 5HP Tecumseh snow blower engine on display in the classroom, cut open to show the crankcase and combustion chamber. The pull starter works to turn all the internals.

The class took a tour of the biolers and generators. Here the are walking at ground level. The pits to the left were for coal ash from the old boilers.

We've been working on a go cart that could not steer properly due to a solid rear axle. With new brackets and bearings, this machine will be ready to roll.

We are working on a go-cart. It would not steer because it had a solid axle causing the front wheels to plow. Rather than install an expensive differential, we decided to cut the axle, install new stabilizing bearings and convert it to a one-wheel drive.
The second scooter is running!
