Birmingham Six (actually six members now!) take their name from the six men wrongfully jailed for the Birmingham Pub bombings in 1974 and have been performing for audiences since 2006. BAND PROFILE: Birmingham Six
Birmingham Six was formed in the Fall of 2006. Taking its name from the six men wrongfully convicted of the 1974 Birmingham Pub bombings, the band mixes traditional, rebel, contemporary and original Irish music to form its sound. The members’ influences are varied and combine nicely to create an energetic, fun live show.
Their sound is in the same vein of The Pogues, Flogging Molly and The Tossers with the spirit of the Wolfe Tones and Clancy Brothers. At least that's what we're going for. Hopefully it will turn out that way in the end.

Birmingham Six are a staple of the Philadelphia and Southern Jersey Irish music scene and ALWAYS a fan favorite whether you're in Wildwood for Irish weekend, a Fleadh in Philly, an AOH bar, or just stop in the local pub for a drink you end up singing along with this great band.
They're playing the AOH Irish Music Festival main stage next Saturday, October 4th, in the afternoon... bring a chair or a blanket to spread out on the festival field and enjoy an entertaining day of LIVE MUSIC.. Family friendly activity, children are welcome, there will be a kids zone with pumpkin decorating and games from 1-5pm.
