Paley Early Learning Center

Sometimes, the best classroom reset happens outside. ☀️ This week, our young children spent time running, climbing, and playing on the jungle gym, which is a simple but essential part of early childhood development. Outdoor physical activity supports strength, coordination, focus, and overall health while giving young minds time to recharge. They return to the classroom refreshed, energized, and ready to learn. 🌿

What happens when learning becomes a brain teaser? Young learners get to think, test, and figure it out! 🧩

Through puzzles and an educational gear game, the children explored patterns, determined which shapes complemented each other, and tested whether the gears functioned properly together. ⚙️

Hands-on challenges like these strengthen critical thinking, logic, problem-solving, and the ability to make connections. Building these skills early gives children the confidence and strategies they need to approach increasingly complex challenges throughout their academic careers and beyond. 💡

A paper towel roll, some paint, and a little creativity became colorful fall trees! 🎨🌳

Our School Age learners drew their tree trunks, then used paper towel rolls to stamp fall-colored leaves onto their branches. This hands-on process supported fine-motor coordination, encouraged creative decision-making, and gave children the freedom to explore materials in their own way.

Art isn’t just about the finished picture. It’s about the learning that happens along the way.
