Born in the United States and raised only miles from NYC donnerstag was perfectly positioned to see electronic music unfold.
As a child he was trained as pianist at 6 years old and his training is musical theory is still evident in his productions today. He owned his first professional synthesizer, a Kawai K-3, at age 10 and never looked back.
In 2015, donnerstag moved to the musically rich city of Philadelphia and within his first two years he has played almost every major venue and party in the city of Philadelphia. donnerstag has held numerous residencies, has appeared at multiple festivals, entertained three continents, toured Europe 3 times, and spent the 2017 summer season in Ibiza, Spain with a 3 week, 20 gig romp, a dream come true for any DJ.
In September of 2018 donnerstag released "Darkness" and Beatport hailed his track as one of the "BEST NEW MELODIC TECHNO" tracks entering the chart at #11 on the last day of the month alongside of music giants HOSH, Yotto and Kollektiv Turmstrasse.The second track on that EP "HAL2018" charted on Spotify at #30 on the AMPsuite playlist which includes the entire Drumcode roster.
He has had 4 Beatport TOP 10 releases and ALL 7 of donnerstag’s releases have been TOP 100 in the world.

His impressive live performance may trump his award winning productions. He has shared the stage with Riva Starr, DIRTYBIRD’s Claude Von Stroke on a mountaintop, closed an after-hours warehouse with Christian Martin, played a battleship with Adana Twins, opened the regional tour for Desert Hearts, headlined PEX SummerFest with Joeski’s A&R at Maya Records, Alan Nieves, and has destroyed multiple crowds with colleague Mario Calegari from Nervous Records and many more.
donnerstag has headlined places like Webster Hall (NYC), Bossa Nova in Brooklyn all the way to St Patrick’s Day in the biggest house music venue in Southern Ireland. He’s played 6 official WMC events in Miami, Defected in Ibiza, Decompression at Burning Man and recently had the pleasure of hearing his music being played at LA’s iconic venue Avalon.
His work has been released on Kitu Records (Berlin), LAMP (UK), Man & Dog (UK), Lincor (Ukraine), Lincor Apex (Ukraine), Welcome! Records (Peru), COOD (Ukraine/London) Tanzgemeinschaft (Belgium) and has upcoming releases on THNK TNK (USA) and XTR Records (Madrid) in the Summer of 2019.
