The official page for the Mar Gregorios Orthodox Christian Student Movement (MGOCSM) of Philadelphia, PA. In 1907, the Syrian Student Conference was formed.
In the early parts of the 20th century, students and senior leaders of the Church felt an urge to further their spiritual life and create a lively fellowship for all the Christian students in the various colleges and high schools. On January 1, 1907, the Syrian Student Conference had its first conference at Balikamadom School, Tiruvalla, Kerala. For years after that, the Syrian Student Conference

Join us for an evening of food, fellowship and fun at our Thanksgiving Potluck on November 28, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM at St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Unruh. We will also have core committee elections for few positions as well. Come together with the community as we share a meal, enjoy games and take part in our core team elections. Let’s celebrate the spirit of gratitude and togetherness this Thanksgiving season.

Philly area representation at Summer Summit 2025!!! Held at HTRC from June 4–7, this camp brought together youth from across the diocese for a powerful time of prayer, fellowship and growth. Our Philly area team showed up with full hearts and open minds, ready to learn, serve and worship. From engaging sessions to late-night prayer and reflections, every moment was a step closer to Christ. Grateful for the memories made and the faith we carry forward.

Good Morning everyone! We will be hosting our Area Lenten Retreat next Saturday, on April 5th 2025, at St. Thomas Unruh Avenue from 9 AM to 2 PM. Our Main Speaker will be Rev. Fr. Sujit Thomas who will enlighten us on the topic of "Training for the Imperishable Prize" based on 1 Corinthians 9:25.

The MGOCSM of Philadelphia had our Service event of the year on March 7th at St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Unruh Avenue. We are so thankful for all the volunteers who showed up at this event for a greater cause!
