Meet the owners of The Scout Guide Main Line!

Nick and Hanna McCarthy came to the Main Line from Charlottesville, Virginia, drawn to Pennsylvania’s natural beauty and strong sense of community.

Hanna, a UVA Darden MBA and former founder of a barre studio featured in The Scout Guide Charlottesville, now works as a financial advisor with Kitchen Wealth Management. Nick, a Boston University MBA, built his career in software project management and discovered The Scout Guide years ago, inspired by its celebration of local businesses.

Now proud to call West Chester home (with their two pups, Waffle and Jelly!), they’re excited to lead The Scout Guide Main Line, championing the people and businesses that make this community so special. ✨

After eight unforgettable years as Editor of The Scout Guide Main Line & Philadelphia, the time has come for me to turn the page and begin a new chapter. It’s a bittersweet farewell to a role that has brought me immeasurable joy, growth, and connection.

I am endlessly grateful for the incredible experiences this journey has given me—from discovering and sharing the stories of our region’s most inspiring entrepreneurs, to celebrating the creative spirit and resilience that defines our local business community. The knowledge, relationships, and perspective I’ve gained during these years are gifts I will carry with me always.

To every client who placed their trust in me and believed in the power of this platform—thank you. Your passion and talent have shaped The Scout Guide into something truly special, and I’m deeply proud of what we’ve built together. You have made this market shine.

While it’s not easy to step away from something I hold so close to my heart, I do so with immense pride and excitement for what’s to come.
