🌎World Renowned House Music Vocalist 🎵Songwriter🪩Entertainer
House music mainstay LADY ALMA is one of the many reasons Philadelphia’s sonic scene is so world-renowned, her uplifting anthems considered instantly infectious wherever they’re heard. For decades, she has recorded memorable musical gems with other global forces in song crafting, a list that includes Philly’s own King Britt, longtime collaborator Mark de Clive-Lowe, 2x Grammy Nominated Terry Hunter, uber-producers Kaidi Tatham, David Harness, Osunlade, DJ Spinna, Yukihiro Fukutomi, Will “Reelsoul” Rodriguez, Miza, Fanatix, 4Hero and others just as proud. The Philly-raised songstress born in San Diego is known for a range of uniquely inspirational jams – among them “Happiness,” “Believe,” “Chances,” “Hold It Down,” “Peace You’ll Find” – and fans of LADY ALMA recognize not only the magic of her skillful vocal arches but her amazing songs’ motivating messages amid the musicianship. Count that among the top reasons “Gimme That Music,” her virtual residency at World Café Live named after her 2004 jam with Peter & Tyrone, rocks its crowds so well and with such consistency, sublimely aided and abetted by Vertical Current. The city of Philadelphia has notably recognized LADY ALMA as one of its key musical contributors, both via past African American Music Appreciation Month celebrations and official proclamation bestowal.

Fresh out of Negril, I am recharged & ready for the rest of this year to be great!
A major thank you to Michelle & Vernon Freeland as well as the entire House Music on the Beach - Negril family for another amazing experience in Jamaica. This time was even more special because I got to spend it with 3 beautiful divas in the business… Teresa Griffin, Dawn Tallman & Crystal Levell. And did I mention DJ’s Duane Powell, Chill X, Jess, Steve Davis and Soulful Messiah were all on the island doing their thing as well?! A time was had for sure.
Jamaica tends to hit differently from the friendly staff to the beautiful sunsets. Big highlight was celebrating Candice’s birthday here in Negril. So as I travel home, I’m reflecting on the good times that was had by all. Happy birthday again Candice & it was good seeing you as well Mr. Johnny.
In the words of my brothers in music The Jungle Brothers… House Music All Night Long Mon. Until next time Jamaica. 💝🇯🇲

What does independence mean today? For America's 250th anniversary, we asked 12 artists answer that question through original songs debuting as part of WXPN Philly Anthems.
The next Philly Anthem release is by Lady Alma called "Liberty." Lady Alma worked with legendary producer DJ Marley Marl and 88 Fingerz to create a song that addresses weighty themes while still carrying a sense of hope and joy. The trio is no stranger to the injustices seen daily—on television, heard on the radio, or experienced within their own communities. In Alma's own words, ""Liberty" is a song that offers an honest perspective on what the world needs right now. The song carries a sense of joy. Embrace the message and find light in the darkness. Celebrate unity, love and the belief that one day we will truly have liberty and justice for all."
It's your girl on the best day of her life... my birthday. I must say this birthday is a little bittersweet for me but I have so much to be grateful for. I'm especially grateful for my day 1's to include my team, all the DJ's, musicians & partners I worked with this year & most of all, the Lady Alma family. You guys continue to show up for me and I couldn't ask for anything more. So here's to my next chapter in life.
