Today, the Pennsylvania State House passed HB2127, my bill to create a statewide public awareness campaign about postpartum depression. As the mom of two, I am incredibly proud of this victory for new parents and their babies.

Due to stigma and a lack of education about this treatable mental health concern, many moms suffer in silence and isolation, which is dangerous for their wellbeing and their baby’s. This campaign will save lives.

I am honored to serve in the Pennsylvania state House and to have passed such an important piece of legislation, my third bill this session. Thank you for believing in me!

Last night, I joined Ward 39B to talk about the importance of this election: defending our right to vote, reproductive rights, the right to organize, and so much more. I also gave an update on what’s happening in Harrisburg, specifically my commitment to fighting for substantial and ongoing SEPTA funding so people can get to work, school and appointments. Thank you to all the Committeepeople and Ward leaders who are working hard to turn out the vote!
