This Device Saves Lives, But Can Be Hard to Find More than one million automated external defibrillators are located in U.S. office buildings and public spaces, but are often hidden away. Now, a crowdsourcing project in Philadelphia has mapped hundreds of AEDs throughout the city, a potential boon to 911 dispatch centers.

Social Networks Affect Voter Turnout, Study Finds A large study of Facebook users found that a “get out the vote” message using pictures of friends got 340,000 additional people to the polls.
Did you know an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) diagnoses the heart rhythm and only delivers a shock when necessary? Otherwise it gives you verbal instructions for performing CPR. Anyone can use them... look for AEDs and you could save a life!
Do you know where the nearest AED is? Find it and you could be a life-saver!!
Please continue to submit AED locations to us! Although the contest is over, we want to produce the most accurate and comprehensive map of AED locations possible. You all are the ones who can help make this happen!
