Announcing the close of the Fair Food Farmstand: Fair Food has always been at the forefront of the food movement advocating for a vibrant local food economy and promoting the benefits of local, sustainable agriculture throughout our region. We have worked to connect the public to all the wonderful people and stories in our food system through our events, and we have brokered relationships all through the value chain with the end goal of building strength in our regional food system. The food movement is continually evolving and we have always tried to adapt our work to support our broader mission. At this point in time, we must adapt again and close a significant chapter in the life of Fair Food. Fair Food will be closing down the Farmstand at Reading Terminal Market. Careful consideration was given in making this decision, and we are confident it is the right path for our organization. We’d like to stress that even with the closing of the Farmstand, Fair Food as an organization and the work we do still continues. We hope you’ll join us for our fall event, Philly Farm and Food Fest, happening October 28th, 2018, and continue to support Fair Food as we evolve in the coming months.
