Tomorrow could be the day.

The trust is not the burden.

The burden is everything that makes it harder to care for people the way they deserve.

The work can be rough without losing what makes it meaningful.

A filled schedule and safe staffing are not the same thing.

We cannot keep praising physicians for their dedication while depending on that dedication to cover what the system refuses to fix.

The peer-to-peers. The appeals. The late charts. The missed dinners.

None of that should be the price of getting patients the care they need.

This is a thank-you.

It is not permission to keep asking them for more.

Insurance companies do not examine patients.

They do not sit across from families, review every clinical detail, or carry the responsibility for what happens when care is delayed.

Coverage decisions should not be allowed to quietly become care decisions.

The standard of care should be determined by clinical evidence and what the patient needs—not by what an insurance company is willing to pay for.

The outcome does not prove the conditions were acceptable.

The resignation wasn’t the warning.
It was the last thing that happened.

Before that, they stopped volunteering.
Stopped fixing every gap before anyone noticed.
Stopped believing that working harder would make anything change.

They didn’t suddenly stop caring.

They finally realized the place depended on them caring more than it cared for them.

Some coworkers help you get through the shift.
