Butcher Block Meats is a neighborhood meat shop that has operated since 1942 in South West Philadelphia. We are noted for exemplary customer service, fresh meat and a very clean store.
We are hiring a manager that can keep and maintain this legacy. The manager will oversee the overall management of the shop, deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism. The job description will include;
1. Preparation of meat products and may include using equipment, such as grinders, power jacks, scales, wrapping machines, saws, and knives. Previous experience working with such is expected.
2. In Charge of employees and responsible for training, overseeing scheduling, and completing paperwork along with other tasks
3. Customer Service, sales, ensuring satisfaction and maintaining the quality of service.
4. Maintain safety and sanitation standards according to the store's specifications and to stay in compliance with city, state and federal regulations in those same areas.
5. Monitor store inventory, keep supplies in stock and ensure that products are fresh. Other responsibilities will include documentation, such as budgets and sales.
6. Manage visual standards in the store, including merchandise presentation, signage, lighting general maintenance
7. Ensure the store is run profitably.
