It’s MLK Jr. Day and I’m finally back home after 5 Southwest flights in 4 days 😵‍💫 I haven’t seen my family since my sister’s wedding in 2022 and being back around some of my people was MUCH NEEDED!
So many beautiful things are on the horizon but grounding myself with family was important to start the year off with and getting hella points on Southwest for more travel this year.

I am so tired. Not anywhere near as tired as the people of MENA fighting for their lives but listening to the pain and tears of my students last night and what I see when I open Threads or IG is breaking my soul.

I’m political party affiliated, I just want to be a good human being and everyone to just be decent! I don’t need racists to like me, I want them to stop unaliving people who like my brothers and denying us jobs and too not hold so much power.

I want this dystopian timeline to heal itself. There’s so much GOOD in the world BUT who gets to enjoy it and who gets to benefit from it? Sometimes you’re in the dominant group and sometimes you’re a minority, just remember your power and privilege and use it for good.
