At our Summer Program Kickoff, summer associates participated in an AI-powered “vibe-coding” hackathon focused on real-world challenges identified by local partners, including Children's Law Center and Kids in Need of Defense.

Using AI-assisted development tools, associates designed prototype solutions addressing issues ranging from legal research and client intake to data collection and grant support. In just a few hours, teams transformed concepts into working prototypes and experienced firsthand how legal thinking, collaboration, and curiosity can create impact.

The first days of the Summer Associate Program are about more than firm knowledge and introductions. They’re about building connections.

As part of our kickoff in Washington, DC, associates stepped aboard a trolley tour to explore some of the city’s most iconic landmarks together. Along the way, they had the opportunity to get to know one another, share experiences, and begin building relationships that will carry through the summer.

Meaningful change happens when people come together with a shared purpose.

Recently, colleagues across Morgan Lewis offices participated in sustainability-focused volunteer and educational activities designed to support local communities and promote environmental awareness. From planting activities in London and rooftop gardening in New York to habitat restoration in Los Angeles and sustainable skincare workshops in Washington, DC, each initiative reflected a commitment to turning awareness into action.

A central part of the firm’s pro bono practice is serving veterans, and a recent outcome reflects our broader commitment: to ensure veterans receive the benefits and support they have earned through service. It is a reminder that advocacy can deliver meaningful impact where it matters most.
