What begins as a simple sketch evolves through hundreds of hours of collaboration, coordination, and refinement to become something lasting within the fabric of a city. That journey is often overlooked once the headlines are written. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help bring this 188-unit mixed use development to life in the heart of Philadelphia. 🏢

For this year’s event, our team’s idea for the canned goods display is a color TV (with a Wizard of Oz scene to bring the color!) in celebration of the “Creating America: Inventions and Innovations that Shaped American History” theme. Thank you to and Canstruction, Inc. for organizing this event in support of local food banks. We also appreciate all of the donations from our clients, vendors, and partners who contributed for an amazing cause! Check out all of the displays at Cherry Street Pier, now through May 29th!

Progress continues at Bordentown Municipal Complex! Alucobond panel work is nearing completion, and large-format ceramic floor tile is now going in throughout the first and second floor public lobbies. In the public meeting room, painting has started and wood acoustic ceiling panels are staged and ready for installation. Decorative glass rail installation is underway in the public stair, and detention doors are now in place.

The view from the street still shows the existing brick municipal building, which will remain standing until the new building is finished.

Our Arch Madness winner: 1501 Fairmount Ave 🎉

Thank you to everyone who followed along and voted.

This five-story mixed-use project preserves the historic façade along Fairmount Avenue and North 15th Street, while introducing new ground-floor commercial space, and 32 residential units. Brown corrugated metal, fiber cement panel, and red-patterned brick shape the exterior palette, with the use of metal paying homage to the site’s historic use as an automobile shop.

The proposed windows are organized in vertical bays to relate to the historic storefront, building off the rhythm of the existing bays and the verticality of the tower. The use of brick along Swain Street and 15th Street connects the project to the surrounding residential context, while the new construction is set back to prevent over-shadowing the historic structure.

We’re excited to see this project recognized as this year’s Arch Madness winner. It’s a strong example of how thoughtful design can respond to history, context, and preservation while establishing a new presence in the neighborhood.

Excited to share that construction is officially underway at 5322–28 Germantown Ave in Germantown’s Penn Knox section.

This five-story mixed-use development will bring 46 residential units and more than 1,600 square feet of ground floor commercial space to the corridor. The project also includes 19 parking spaces, along with a shared roof deck and private balconies that provide additional outdoor space for residents.

Looking forward to seeing this one take shape!
